The CHI (where has this been all my life?)

You know, even though I'm overweight, I'm still pretty diligent about my looks. I like to dress nicely. I like to wear appropriate amounts of makeup. And I like to make sure that my hair is fixed nicely when I leave the house. I think I learned all of this from my Mom, who is definitely from another time.

Mom is from a time when women had their hair professionally styled once a week. It was only washed at that time, and when you went to sleep, it was held together with a scarf so it would not move. Her big bee-hive hairdo never changed and was always perfect. She also NEVER left the house without lipstick (she still doesn't to this day). The house could be on fire, and she would be putting on her lipstick as she was sprinting out the door.

I don't think I'm vain. I just really like to look nice. My husband really appreciates this! HA!

Well, most people would say that I have hair that people would pay for. It is pretty thick (I have it thinned with layers), and it is naturally wavey. It has lots of body and holds a curl with little "product". I will tell you that it DRIVES ME CRAZY because I don't feel like I can do anything with it.....at least I DIDN'T feel like I could do anything with it....until I bought a CHI.

I used to look at women with beautiful, shiny, straight hair and just envy them (I know - one of the 7 deadlies). I really wanted that look, but could never quite find the right gel or whatever product to hold my hair like that. I bought a CHI (stands for ceramic hair iron) about 6 months ago and it has sat in its box, on my dresser, behind the TV since then. Well I got my hair cut and highlighted last week. And Cindy did a GREAT job with the color and the style. And when she styled it at the salon, it was in that "shiny, straight look." I LOVED it. So I pulled out the CHI one morning, along with the CHI "spray" and started "workin it." Now, I can't live without it. I actually get up earlier to be able to "CHI" my hair. I don't have to worry about my hair frizzing out in the middle of the day. It basically stays exactly where I want it. I LOVE IT!!

Anyway, so yes, maybe I am a little vain....okay - A LOT vain! LOL!!

Have a nice day.....
